Dining Blog: Chaophraya Thai Birmingham
At first look this place looks low key but when you look at the menu you can definitely say that this is a quality restaurant.
Decor is a mixture modern and soft features. With the giant jelly fish aquarium to the large flower vase by the open kitchen.
The place will definitely satisfy not just your taste bud but also your visual experience.
Clean and simple menu
I like the modern feel of the menu
I must admit I do commend restaurant who package their own product.
Plus it is a great way to advertise
Though £3.50 for a 750ml is a little bit too pricey.
Prawn crackers
which was served in the table
Btw, this is £2 per basket for which I found cheeky when they didn’t advice us that its not free.
and actually saw that we were charge for it.
but the decor is very nice
Only criticism is that table plan looks a bit busy and not too easy to manoeuvre
This was a was nice a modern and yet classic asian touch to the place
What annoyed me the most is that the toilets didn’t smell pleasing as I excepted it to be
plus ARTIFICIAL flowers.
Come on its either fresh flowers or no flowers at all.
though the food was faultless
had chicken satay for starters
Chilli and Basil Pork
Pad Thai is superb very authentic taste
grilled Sea bass (I think this is my favourite amongst everything we tried)
Massaman Lamb Curry
Over all the experience was average I will go back to see the decor again but for the price I was expecting a little bit more. I think what they can look into is serving unlimited boiled rice like any other Thai restaurant I have been which can justify the price of their menu.
